During many professional trips and stays abroad, especially in Africa, I discovered very rich cultures through ancient and contemporary visual arts. Their history and unconventional aesthetics have particularly touched me. I also discovered the universe of ancient beads (agate, cornelian, amber, rock crystal, glass…) that have crossed time and continents.
In my creations, inspired by my many travels, I favor meaning, history and authenticity while developing a contemporary aesthetic. Some of my pieces highlight ancient beads collected in Africa that I particularly like. It is a creation with a strong personality, timeless and out of fashion.
In 2018, I created the company MEHARANH in order to launch my first collection.
My creative universe
MEHARANH is the contraction of two words: MEHARA in reference to desert caravans and ANH, a Vietnamese first name meaning “ray of light”.
For me, the desert caravans evoke the notion of travel, a return to the essential, a quest for meaning, a journey and reflection. My stays in the desert have always been inspiring and defining moments in my life. The first name ANH, which refers to my Vietnamese origins, is steeped in tradition. It is one of the first names I bear like all the daughters of my paternal family and that I have passed on to my daughter.
